yes exactly. Jhurko, in america we have 50 states that all have their own different tax rates per state on top of any federal taxes. we even go deeper than that, as in counties even impose their own specific taxes.. Like for property there is a city tax if you live in a city limit then also a county tax for the county that city exists in. also we pay state income taxes and federal income taxes on money we get from working.

I wrote about this on other thread but here fits better.. I also think that having the ability to modify taxes per systems, instead just the entire empire would be better. Ala real world, I mean, where I live, we have different taxes than mainland, due we are far away. On a space game, fits even better.

Also Jakey's idea would be nice as well.. everyone's happy smiley: smile

Totally agree. I wanted to post about this but wasn't sure if a thread existed (getting tired of redundancy in the forum). It should be more like other 4X games (eg. Total war) where you can adjust taxes per city (or in this case start systems). It would be great to have two separate taxes (like the federal and provincial taxes in Canada XD). Although it might seem pointless, it would allow players to be lazy (like me) and just manage the empire tax while other could micromanage individual star systems.

Yep, seems to be a great issue to me.

I think the tax system of e.g. Total War: Shogun 2 was quite a good one.

Maybe a more differenciated tax system would really help a lot, keeping the empire both solvent and happy smiley: smile
