Can you Toggle Random effects on and off? I couldn't find an option in game and also haven't heard any mention of it anywhere. Does anyone know if this feature will be or already is available?

I'm sorry I wasn't specific enough. Occasionally something will happen such as a reduction in sight radii or a free ship will spawn or your ships get 'bombed' and lose health. Those sorts of random effects.

And the "free ship" is a pirate ship no? If it's, you can disable pirates in your party when you create one.

I've had an event in which i get a free colony ship with the flavour being something like 'space is stretchy'.
