Introduction cut scene?

ah and back on topic... I think it is a safe bet to think that the devs are planning something about introductions.... most probably for the beta or gold release.

That remembers me of Total Annihilation, they had some awesome videos explaining the origins of each faction.

But we need to remember, this is still in alpha, so there is still time for that

but yeh, a nice cutscene is always cool

Cut scenes would be nice as an introduction to the faction, to let the player know a bit about the background.

I also think that a short cut scene for game events would be nice and fun, even if it's just an artwork with small elements moving, just to give a touch to the game.

The game event where you have a spaceship popping out of your shipyard in the orbit of the planet made me laugh.

They have to put some kind of intro in. All of the really good games have intros. I would like to see something that shows your race kicking ass and forgetting names to start with, but thats me.

I'm more interested in in-game cinematics, but an intro cinematic would be great. It doesn't have to be something flashy and overwhelming but should be stylish like everything else in the game

I think all the power should be concentrated on making the game enjoyable. For some it means a beautiful intro and for the others it is the options and playing. I hope the devteam concentrates all their power to the ingame things instead of advertisment in the beginning of the game : )

I was loading the game when I realized that there is no introduction cut scene in the game!!

So, like me, would you like a cut scene?

Maybe a cut scene presenting quickly the background, races and show an amazing battle!

I'd love to see an introduction cutscene - but mostly because I know it will draw in players trying it for the first time. It's a good value for work thing.

I'm not sure putting a narrator contest or something on would be very realistic. Most people just don't have the necessary equipment to make a good record of their voice.
