Tends not to matter in the slightest with steam. You can preorder a game digitally, preload it weeks beforehand - and still have to wait till the releases in your region (No - not even worldwide. Europeans often wait several days even though the game is out in America.. ON STEAM)

Actually I wonder whether the Steam release won't be earlier, as you don't have to take the production time into account for the DVDs, manuals, boxes and so on....

But I have no idea whether both releases MUST happen on the same time or not.
