The battle music is fine. It's got a great tribal feel to it that really works. None of that dubstep sh*t please.

I think some inspiration from Steve Reich for some more tunes would be good. They're usually cool and spacey and interesting. Steve Reich is a minimalist composers, for those who don't know.

Burial might be okay as far as dubstep goes, but that's like... the only dubstep I like anyways. They're pretty sci-fi, slow paced, and enthralling in a way.

Music's great though. THis is the first 4x game I leave the music on and listen to that instead of turning it off and just letting my Ambient DI play.

Nothing wroung wi a beat during the combat, but with the space opera feel of the game, dubstep is unlikely.

And theres nothing wroung with some step in da club. but each person to themselves i guess :rolleyes:

I wouldn't mind more bass on the sound effects though. When that enemy Dreadnought goes down in flames I want to feel it in the floor!

I turn sound off and listen to my music while playing. So it really doesn't matter to me.

Plus, since we get the soundtrack in the preorder, I REALLY hope we don't end up with that. I'm sure they wouldn't ruin a space opera with dubstep though, I have faith

When I sit down and watch my fleet approach another it drives me crazy that the music is so subtle. I have subs for my computer so my sound set up is incredible when the music is right. I think Amp should hold some music competitions as well because I could easily make some sweet music for these battles that would fit.

dubstep is pretty cancerous there's more videos about dubstep parodies than there is actual dubstep music and those are almost all remixes. (that is my opinion and from the stuff i have seen)

i say take cues from pruit igoe or make it a bit more orchestral and brassy to bring more class but the music as it is its pretty decent and ambient. Battle music could use different tune. More music like the one used in the games alpha trailer would be nice it was just sublime. still no complaints here.

heck there's always windows media player to turn on or any other music player if the games music is not someones cup of tea.
