Impossible, Insane Pirates

Anyone last 500 turns (even with win conditions off it seems to default to a score victory at 500 turns) with 8 players, impossible difficulty, and insane pirates with slow on? I would consider it a win to be at turn 500 and still be around smiley: smile





I'm currently 52 turns into mine. I'll reply with some video of it much later (233GBs recorded converting into 44GB xvid then time it takes to upload to Youtube) sound and all.

I defended against three waves of pirates so far, met two other players, and at the end of my 52nd turn I lost to a 4-ship pirate fleet. It was a scout vs 4 pirates. My strategy is an early warning system. All systems connected to mine have a scout so I get attacked one system away and it also shows me when pirates are coming.

Good idea, especially with the lack of notifications atm. What faction you running?

I lost to the pirates at Pardalis.





My plan involves colonizing zaurak, justium, pardalis, corana, deneb, and scorpius.



Ill place fleets at zaurak, justium, corana, deneb, and scorpius.

If that system to the North of Zaurak doesn't lead anywhere then you won't need to defend Justium. It'll make your defensive front smaller at least which can only be a good thing in an impossible game smiley: smile

ill check it out, just had a massive pirate invasive though. and now at turn 72 my colony ships can no longer colonize even with planets that can be colonized....
