Same for me. I may try it out if I find some spare time, which is highly unlikely. Studies/job and other games.

Also, I've been more into SciFi in recent years, so fantasy games don't automatically get me interested, no matter how interesting they may seem to be. Witcher 2 is an exception though.

So, Definetly Endless Space for me.

ES forever. Diablo 3 will be a good game, surely. But atm I need strategy, no hack'n'slash smiley: smile

Each has a different player base. I am looking forward to D3, but on the other hand I am worried that it will not be all it is cracked up to be. Please note I have pre-ordered ES and not D3. So yeah given I like to support Indie developers I will throw my vote to ES for the fact we are having a hand in the making of the game. Also I think ES has a better idea behind how the game is being made, AKA working with gamers. I have seen many Indie projects see great success from that point of view such as SPAZ, and Star Ruler. I have sadly become jaded to the standard companies out there. Oh look another modern warfare comeing out in November, really . . . Okay i think i am done now.

Endless Space > Diablo 3

diablo 3 felt like an expansion to D2 for me and seems very simple unlike PoE

D3 is lowest common denominator gaming. Mindless clicking to defeat mindless AI and collect shiny gear upgrades. It's like WoW, but infinitely more dumbed down. Yuck.

I'm interested in Torchlight but never played the first one. You think that would be a big deal? Is there much of a story or is it just hack, slash and loot?

I'm missing an option on this poll. Something like: Can't compare the games because of the different genres, but i will have fun with both of them for sure!

That would have been the option i voted on if available ;-)

Smarter you get, the more you get in Sci-fi. Sci-fi gets giant laser guns and black holes. Fantasy get immortal OP wizards and +1 swords.

I think more Mary Sues loiter about in Fantasy than sci-fi too. In Fantasy, epic people are born. In Sci-fi, they are made. Through technology and achievements.

There was this magic place called "Diablo II" where a lot of people spend a lot of time. After awhile, there wasn't more to do except for grinding and searching for an armor with 0.2% better defense on it but people still played the game and that is proof of the addiction.

Now more of that game is coming. It's like Crack-Heroine 2.0

Apples and oranges really. I would say that ES is certainly the better 4X game. Diablo might have the edge as a loot-based RPG smiley: smile

Yep, gonna have to agree. To be fair I'm excited about both, but I'm more looking forward to a finished Endless Space smiley: smile

Before I played ES I would have said D3 is bound to be more addictive but as I can't seem to stop playing ES I may be wrong :P

Well Diablo 3 is probably going to sell more, but as people already have pointed out they're two different games and how to know which one is the "best", since neither is completed or released, is even harder.

Well you can't really compare the two of them, as for choosing between them as much as I love the Diablo franchise I'll rather stick with ES for the moment.

I'm not really sure you can really say anything is best. All we have to compare between is the beta release of D3 and the alpha release of ES. That's skewed for a start. And the fact that they are completely different games anyway.

Maybe it should be read as "What are you looking forward to the most" instead.

I don't think you can compare the two games. Ones turn based strategy and the others is a top down RPG.

seriously speaking always having a internet connection to do stuff in diablo 3 is really something ubisoft drm would do. blizzard hit a low blow on its playerbase. anyways apples and oranges and who plays games funded by activision. anyways wouldn't this count as a form of advertisement? i mean come on man.
