Just a quick question here about the diplomatic system on Enless.

Dont get me wrong I like the layout of the diplomacy section, its smooth, straight forward and looks incredible like the majority of Endless (Im also addicted to this game); however, i find i can achieve victory under most conditions without needing to click on the diplomacy menu more than twice in a game. There is some usefulness to having a ceasefire on one player while you crush the other, but all you have to do is not attack them and wait for them to automatically offer deals when the deal conditions are met; the AI also agrees to outrageously exploitative deals even at higher difficuties(above normal).

The trade system is also slightly ambiguous, as it seems that trade routes generate randomly once you have a ceasefire with another player; surely it would be better to have it as a diplomatic deal for Trade Rights and then each empire gets dust/science income based on trade capacity and number of trading partners?

I realise this is the Alpha of course, so i apologise if this post is redundant and they're working on improving/have already improved diplomacy as i speak. I can also acknowledge how multiplayer will work fine on the current diplomatic system. But at the moment, single player can every now and then feel like you sit there exploiting the AI for howver many turns then win.

Is this something theyre changing or am i just doing it wrong?

They're working on improvements I do believe. But what they are, I have no idea!

Nah, diplomacy is a tad borked at the moment, and as a result, that's why races like Sophons are weak as they'd benefit most from it. it's practially impossible to get AI to agree to cease-fires or peace and they're too twitchy when it comes to getting offended.

Indeed. Diplomacy is really missing so far. I always end up at war with the entire galaxy even though I only colonized an empty planet...

Such as score differences essentially equally having a negative relationship just for being a player.
