After playing Endless Space for some hours, I'd like to give my feedback in general and for space battles in detail.

I really like the galaxy map, the intuitive ui and the graphics. Most of the options and menus are self-explaining

and there was not much need for reading tutorial or handbook. What I missed was a clear feedback why my ships

could not travel from one system to another (for example because the wormhole travelling tech was missing). In

another case I still don't know why my fleets don't move to the enemy starsystem when I command them to do so.

Another not-so-clear mechanic for me was the behavior of the other players. Even if I don't expand too much they

seem to feel threatened and are attacking me all the time. I also did not find an option to propose a peace contract

to my enemies. Maybe this is my fault because I don't like reading manuals.

I would also like to see the finished constructions on a planet like in MoO2. This gave a good intuitive overview of

the planets state.

What I missed the most was the tactical battles of MoO2 (I know, this is not the successor of MoO2 but I wish it was

after the disappointing MoO3). Endless Space is so promising that I cannot believe you don't include the best

part of a 4x space game in my opinion: the tactical space battle! That is THE reason why I still play MoO2 although

its a very old game.

In tactical battles I can see how good my ship design was, and even if it was not so good, I have plenty of tactical

options to make the best out of my ships. In my opinion, there are more than enough other 4x games which rely on big fleets

of irrelevant cannon fodder ships.

I would propose that if I set a fleet to invade an enemy planet, but don't have a ship with ground attack, the game should give

me a hint that nothing will happen. Or better, only activate the invade button if I have ships with ground attack in my fleet..

Also I would like to be notified when enemy fleets invade my planets.

First, you cannot sent your fleets to systems controlled by other players unless you declare war at them, Second to do a peace treaty you need a technology from the left tech tree(it's like the third tech following the upper part of that tech tree.) Third there is not much point in seeing the buildings of the planet as the planets have like 1-3 improvement and others are for the whole system, but some kind of visual demonstration of this would be nice.

I also love the MoO2 space battles, and I also would love to see them in Endless Space!
