I agree, that would be helpful. As a rule for myself, I never trade any resources I need to build my fleet or weapons, just to play it safe. I think there might be a drop-down menu in the...I just forget the name of the tab, and can't check right now...the tab that list all of the systems you control and lets you adjust taxes. I think you can find in there any monopoly bonuses you have, though something to get to quicker for deals you have to deal with would be nice.

go to your empire management screen the info is there. you should be able to do that before accepting.
