OK well, I play as the Sophon's and just won a game in 70 turns using the wonder victory on normal difficulty.

I find that its the easiest victory, since whenever I try for another one I end up getting bored because it takes about 50 more turns to get a different type of victory.

Does anyone else find this? Or is there an even easier way to win?

I could have won in about 65 turns in that game actually, because I was going to go for an expansion victory, but then the AI used cheats to get hug amounts of ships so I just went wonder!

Id say you are right. Science is very easy to achieve. Expansion aswell. Mostly as they follow the same part of low taxes. One can also outproduce the opponent using the very same strategy if one builds strategically.

I don't even know what the 'wonder' is. I assume it isn't the science victory since it's considered seperately.

The wonder victory is having five different systems building the 'Invulnerable Empire' project simultaneously. It's the easiest one to achieve because it's just down one tech tree, and Invulnerable Empire is a lot cheaper than the science victory technology.

Economic does too though, since you can literally blunder into it without any effort on your part beyond existing. I Think Economic Victory should be more like cornering the market in Alpha Centauri.

The better way to win, it's to kill everyone, otherwise there's no victory...

What about diplomacy, is there no hippie victory? Just give love a chance, man. Here's a hyper-flower, grown in the LSD saturated atmosphere of Loony-2, the land of rainbows and sparkle ponies.

Highly intellectual Sparkle ponies, I'm sure! Especially once that pesky research penalty is mitigated, that's one of my favorite anomalies in the game...

I've always had the easiest time winning annihilation or expansion. Hard to make it anywhere else against Impossible AI.

I agree, expansion or complete military is the easiest at thing point.

Besides, why wouldn't you want to just eat up all the enemy systems. Trade isn't powerful enough to be worthwhile.
