My steam handle isn't galactic enough for this game. Besides, I'm casting this game a lot on twitch so it's a security issue for me as well.

I also want to change the colors of the other races.

Just change your steam alias, that should fix it.

and changing your race color can be done just below the picture of your race in the game creation.

Can you tell me how to change or make a steam alias, I cant find anything in steam's help section about this.

I know what you say. My name in ES is the first part of my email and that is not my steam alias. I don´t know where to change it while starting a new game. The colors of the AI is not changeable. So if you want a color another race you have to choose another one or you will get an overlay with that race. Really bad if they are your neighbours!

edit: you play ES with your steam alias which can be different from your steam login name.

I do believe if you open up the friends menu in steam you can change your alias. Not sure as I'm away from my pc, but it's worth a try.

That´s how it works. But after that you have to agree again that ES is still in alpha... And then your old saves are gone! Just happened to me.

True, you can change your name in game from the Steam client, on the Friends window.

Right-click on the Steam Icon in the lower right and select Settings. Select the Friends tab. Change the Profile Name and select ok.

OK thanks for that. I hope this is a temp workaround though.

And yeah, to change the colors would be cool.

Yep just change your Profile Name and it will change it in the game for you.

Yeah I had to start a new game too, and one of the AI is United Empire just like me; this should be interesting to see how this works out
