Is there a way to zoom out without mouse wheel

I am one of the few who still uses a trackball (love it) and the game doesnt recognize my scroll keys, is there a way to bind or a button in game for zooming in and out? it is nearly unplayable after 60 or so turns without a way to zoom.

The new update has an option you can enable to zoom in and out with a slider on the ui itself. That may help

There is no way to bind a key for it, but like was already mentioned there is now a zoom slider on the map and tech tree screen in the Alpha2 (build .30) for those of us without a mouse wheel, it works well so far I've found. Thanks developers for listening!

Hmmm maybe my version is bugged but I can clearly see the zoom function on the tech tree but absolutely nothing in terms of a slider on the strategic map. Does yours have the slider from the tech tree in the same position as the strat map? Mine appears to have nothing on the same right side.

No it's actually on the opposite side of the screen (left - midway down) on the galaxy screen. in .30.3 and 30.5(just came out an hour ago)
