i have bin playing the game for like 40 hours now.

so my question to you is, what is a good ballence to get fast ship building, and a good econemy.

cos i can only hold on for like 140 turns than i'm behind in all categories... ships get blown up fast.

from time to time i have a bit of luck.

so dous eny of you have a you tube clip on how they do it? or kan you just thell me?

cos i dont know where i do wrong.

Try looking in this thread newbie thread 30 turn challenge.

If you read through, and look at the saves, you'll find a lot of useful tips etc.

The main answer ~ the quicker your growth is, the better you do [withadvisoryexceptionstothisrule]

Well I'll give you a simple tip, technology is the best weapon, after all, what good are the biggest of armies against a nuclear bomb?

Other than that, do what ^^ have suggested.

Well what I did on my first play with medium map and normal difficulty, was first focussing in the Applied science tech tree, then teching the first 2 colonize techs, then the first 2 techs from trading and diplomacy. I build first some 2 colony ships but also defenders as protection against pirates.

And then further along it speaks for itself. However I always had my focus on the applied sciences since the tech tree gives the most bonusses to your economy. This is not due the buildings but due to the resources that become available. I focused on getting monopoly on certain goods to achieve the monopoly boost from those resources. Most of the early goods gives 10% or 20% boost to your dust economy.

TBH you don't need to be first in score to win, when I was learning I was often way down the list, but always won out either through science or fail in that, the easiest (and imo slightly cheating) victory of wonders.

I wish the ones who did really well would write in what order they researched and claimed systems, etc. Otherwise its just an end result.

After only 30 turns it is not that hard to tell. Or, you can ask; the people on that thread are pretty helpful.

write in what order they researched and claimed systems,

FYI -

As for the order of the research, I've noticed the game file contains this (at least for now) in the order it was researched (look in deparmentofscience) assuming you want to do the lookup of the techcodes. So far as I've noticed the same applies to the systems listing under DepartmentOfInterior, written in order of claimed for the specific empire.
