Ship design - Ship/fleet effects

I just started playing ES a few days ago and I'm a little confused about ship design and modules. To be honest, I only just realized there was more to support modules than just power, invasion and armor.



I noticed most modules use the term "on ships". Then I saw the repair modules have "ship repair" and "fleet repair", both of which also say "on ships".



I'm just trying to figure out which modules, if any, affect the entire fleet instead of just the ship. Perhaps this could be made a little clearer.

I am having the same trouble working this out.



Fitted ship only - or will that ship repair its neighbour.



If fleet heals all or any of the ships in the fleet and whether it is effective AE or one ship at a time.



Any thoughts on this would be helpfull.

From my understanding, battle repair is only on ships that have repair modules equiped and it only works for that ship. On the other hand, out of combat sounds like it works on the whole fleet and is cumulative.



Eg., Adaptive Glue

1) +100 Hp per battle phase -> the ship(s) with it equiped repair itself 100 hp per phase during battle (works during arrival and end phase??)



2) +20 fleet hp per turn -> sounds like a cumulative effect outside combat

--> 8 ships in fleet each with adaptive clue heals 160hp per ship(?) per turn (or could be 160hp distributed throughout fleet)



From my understanding, the only module that repairs fleet wide during combat is "Living Hulls" unlocked by "Resilient Infrastructures"

I think a lot of the reason is the translation (Devs are french). When something says "Blah Blah Blah On Ship" or "Blah Blah Blah From X", they're basically saying that Thingie Y gives Ship/Planet/Whatever the attribute of Blah Blah Blah is. It's probably unnecessary or at the least, could be reworded/re-organized for a bit more clarity.

Might be Sophon specific, but they start with a module that heals 10 per phase on the fleet. Not really that useful unless en mass.

I just know having living hull on all ships in the fleet makes repairs really fast. So not sure if they stack or not, but feels like they do.

Thanks for the responses.



I guess what I was hoping for was to be able to set up a couple of BS or even a Dread as a healer. I certainly would appreciate being able to set up a front line of tanks, mid-line of dps and a healer or two in the background - but maybe I have just played to many MMOs smiley: smile
