So me and a friend were discussing Endless space the other day and a thought struck us:



Why can't we create war pacts with another empire to attack our common enemies?



With a bit of thought it makes sense, Defense pacts are the cause of some major wars in history so why can't they be the cause of major interstellar wars?



We even came up with a name for the technology: "Collaborative War Council".



Balancing and final decisions are of course up to the devs but just wanted some other player input.

This tech already exists

Its called "Create Alliance" right?

That's different, what i understand from his post is that have another faction that isn't allied with you ie neutral etc, you ask "beg" them to attack a specific enemy. im not sure if that's in the game since by the time i finally got going in tech and empire the bloody comp has already most of the map and ready to finish me lol.
