not really, but I can't stand the way they rotate left and right when moving the mouse. What's the point, it isn't like the 3d represents where they are in the system...

It doesn't cause me any actual discomfort, but while the effect is initially a nice bit of eyecandy, I'm now leaning towards making it possible to turn off - the effect can certainly be a bit distracting as you're moving your mouse around the screen to check tooltips on various things.

agree with this !!

no problem with it making me sick

but it can be distracting if I'm trying to look at something

maybe it's for a feature that still coming yet.

That's be nice. Would be good to see the planets in orbits. Tho that is just fluff, as far as game mechs are concerned. Not like you have any interplanetary travel to deal with for combat or anything, al a Hegemony. Just immersion value from realism.

I usually get motion sick, but only with FPS games... smiley: biggrin Also, turning off vsync is a solution.

I only get any notion of motion sickness from all of the camera switches during combat - they are quite sudden and unexpected. smiley: smile

@Stef: Surely you mean KEEP Vsync ON - since it stabilises your FPS to the roof limit and stops the screen from "tearing". At least I can't imagine how more tearing is any way to reduce nausea :/

Yeah - particularly having light BEHIND your monitor helps alot. You can also install a program called F.lux that reduces the very blue (white) light that most modern monitors give. It makes it more yellow gradually as dusk approaches, which really helps calm the eyes down if you play for extended periods of time.

I have done the same thing as Mansen for years and it really helps. I was sad that I could not play the original Thief game till I started doing that.

Nope, I just have my graphics on fastest, because I can't for the life of me see a difference. And I get a smooth 60fps.
