Sensor range decrease bug

Okay, so in my game, one of the first events that happened was something (can't remember what it was called) which reduced my sight range by 80%.

That happened on turn ~15. I'm on turn ~80 now, and my sight range is still reduced to nothing. In fact, this effect shows up twice on my empire screen!

It's not too bad, it's my first game and thus on newbie difficulty, so no dangers I can't manage, but it is rather annoying.

If I should report this somewhere else, please tell me.

Hmm.

Unlucky i think. One of the worsest events with movement decrease.

If it encounterd only once but reduces you sight range twice it is a bug in my opinion.

I think Alpha-Tech-Supportis the right section for it.

The movement decrease event is the worst one, as it never goes away.

The sight radius one does, eventually, but it's also largely meaningless (ships are either in your system and attackable, or they are not, if they are not, does it matter if you can't see them?)

Well the quicker you know about an approaching fleet the quicker you can move reinforcements if nessecary.

Yeah, the quicker you know that the Horatio are attacking you while you are sending your ships to the Sophons the quicker you can react to that. There should be a message at the next turn like "You are under attack in system XX".

I think all the decrease events are cured by researching any technology that increseases the formerly decreased stat. So an engine tech removes the engine speed decrease event.

But if you already researched everything, this still proves to be a gamebreaking disadvantage, right now.

A better explanation of the event, the remedy and a constant reminder of the event still being active would be nice though and has been proposed several times.
