Fact:

You don't want that many systems in your empire anymore. They boosted

the expansion disapproval penalty out of sight for big empires. I loaded a

"huge galaxy" alpha save file into the beta. Happiness when saved in alpha

was around 80%, but recalculated as 31% when loaded into beta.




You loaded a savegame from another patch. Never do this and expect good things to happen.

Known issue, unrelated to this thread. Has to do with the happiness math having been tweaked.

Nope they changed it



Huge Galaxy with Dense Stars this BETA is smaller than Huge Galaxy with Dense stars prev ALpha 2



huge is now 80 systems galaxy before it was 200+ or something systems

Are you sure you didnt have the settings for a more densly populated galaxy (for the map size) and that was reset in beta (and you haven't set it the same)?
