Sorry I couldn't help it. Okay, serious now.

Understandably, lore isn't most player's preoccupation in a 4X game. That doesn't mean the game makers don't try and give us a sound background to play on, though, and Amplitude sure delivered.



Now, there are holes to fill (as always), the biggest of which... just who are the Endless? Good old Humans going the way of the dodo? An Alien race with no link whatsoever with humanity? (Nothing says the game takes place in the Milky Way, as far as I know.)

Good morning flipstar (actually, I guess it's good night to you)!

SpaceTroll is Amplitude's creative director. The writer is Slowhands. Slow hands maybe, but gold fingers, and a great talent for SciFi.

That's a shame to see how the lore is integrated ingame: we cannot find it, it is just a topic in the depths of this forum. For a newbie that discover the game, I am not sure that he will understand anything of the endless hero's bio...

Let's see when (not if) this can be improved on. The pointed out thread is the design document for the story setting of the game, written by Slowhands.

This. I think even a small button in game where you can read all game lore would be a great improvement

I'm all for seeing the lore as written by Slowhands, to be included in the game in tidbits.



Maybe as you research something, launch a new ship, find an colony with an edless item on it. Maybe hiring a hero brings with him/her some lore?

Not saying to give the game a single player story mode here.

Just it would be good to get this knowledge out in-game for those us (myself included!) who diodn't even realise the lore was here to be read in the first place.



Heck, maybe just a link in the title menu of the game....under options?
