Campaign?

Shouldnt this game have a campaign mode about the expedition team in the trailer travelling around the galaxies, witnessing the political and military conflicts between the races and then unravell the mysteries of the endless? Well, this whole thing about races colonizing other planets is about the endless and yet the only things you get are some endless artifacts that give some benefits

would love to find out more about the mysterious endless

Lore in 4x's is usually done via descriptions of races, techs, events in game etc.

I can't think of any 4x's that have a campaign that isn't awful.

Story modes in 4x games are almost always awful. Doesn't fit the genre.

I wouldn't mind seeing a campaign either. There isn't any reason a campaign in this sort of game couldn't be good. If the devs think it will help the game and that they can make a good campaign, go for it. If not, I'm fine with them making the game better in other ways.

Maybe not a campaign but it would be nice to have a lore start where the home systems, tarting heroes, map layout , system names, etc are setup as the official lore map / start for the endless universe.
