Ok, so I've logged about 60 hours total now of ES. Not many compared to some of you I'm sure, but I see a disturbing trend. I play a lot of me vs. comp, limited time and lack of patience with disappearing folks for MP being the cause most days. In every game I've played, Hissho have showed up and dominated the board. I read in my skimming the forums that they recently got a boost. I think it was over done. As it stands now, every game I run ends up being: do I ally with the Hissho or do I try to take them out early. I managed to get one where every race was allied with me and we still had no chance of taking the Hissho out and won via diplomatic. That's just wrong. If this buff was put on them for the Multi-player folks, that's great, but the AI can't deal with it and needs to be smarter or they need to get a AI vs. AI nerf.

Eh, I haven't noticed any issues with them. It's the Amoeba that tend to give me trouble in my games, for some odd reason. The Hissho are stronger than they have been before, but they certainly don't dominate my games...Really, every match comes down to me and the Amoeba battling it out for galactic supremacy.



So based on my experience, I'd say no nerfing, but I honestly don't care. Depends on if others are having this issue or not.

I play Hissho from time to time, as you might tell.

Their bonus can be pretty awesome but it's application

is quite limited because it forces you to fight even if it might

be smarter to lay low for a bit. Otherwise all the peaceful factions

can outproduce/outtech you, and then you are toast.



In the ( Multiplayer) Games i play the race who usually does very

well is the humans.



The devs have already promised to beef up the AI, so i assume

it will not be necessary to do anything about the races.

I agree that the bushido bonus of +20% is too large. You may be interested in my mod which returns it to the previous value of +10%:
