If the votes were cheated by the devs, we wouldn't have pirates with a criminal background, today... I'm not sure if Slowhands, skamaks or SpaceTroll was the one neverendingly raging about this, but there you go: The devs do not always get their favorite choice.

A lot of people, myself included, are tired of the various diplomacy hiccups we keep running into. Such as alliance members accepting cease fires and forcing you to agree, making waging war difficult. It was a hard choice, I'll admit that, but the computer has been doing just fine in my games lately in terms of playing to win, and I manual most battles anymore anyway (when possible).



Plus, I don't think we know exactly how easy including any of those options into the game would be...I don't know much about game design, but it sounds to me that parts of the diplomacy system and coding are going to be reworked and revamped. I don't think any of these choice are exactly going to be easy to add in.

I voted for the Diplomacy because it's important for me to enjoy talking with the other races. All the options are pretty important but I beleive the AI is still being worked on anyway - well i certainly hope so. So I dont see any need to vote on better AI. Mind you I would hope the Diplomacy is being worked on as well.



The voting is all just a gimmick really, nice to have a bit of a voice but the options are not exactly the ground breaking issues that people have with the game.

Accusing the Devs of being (1) cheaters and (2) lazy is quite cheeky and totally uncalled for. Nothing wrong with a healthy amount of criticism, but please refrain from making baseless accusations.

I voted for diplomacy too. I'm tired of either having the AI wanting unreasonable amounts of resources in a trade, like all/a majority of my resources: I.E 3 T-70, 2 hyperium, and 1 antimatter for and alliance (in a tiny galaxy in my case).

Or having to pay an arm and a leg for something you really want, (especially if you barely have/borderline on getting a monopoly), like 3 T-70, 2 ionic crystals, and 1 quadranix, for 1 redsang.



And worst of all, sometimes they refuse your deal for a resource no matter how much crap you bribe them for.

There is no single word about AI. Improved alliance mechanic it is something like whisper option in multiplayer.

I think it's better if they sort out diplomacy in one big patch dedicated to addressing it rather than having it broken up into smaller parts and scattered all over, the description seems pretty vague unless anyone can confirm what the sheep are voting for...



Diplomacy Improvement:

Improving the Alliance mechanics to offer a better diplomatic experience.



Will it be just the "Alliance mechanics" that are being improved and what exactly is the better diplomatic experience being offered as a result? No crazy deal-breakers? Whisper function? Will there be alliance/team voting for cease-fires and wars? Is the AI going to interact with players better??? What are people voting for exactly?

And there isn't a single word about it not including improvements to how the AI will handle the improvements. Personally I am expecting to see a fix to the "my ally just did something that I didn't agree on" issue as well as improved reasoning when the AI does something alliance related.

If by did you mean some war relating decisions (declare war, cease fire, attack this, attack that) than you need War AI improvement. And i hope they will include some hot girls avatars as well because there isn't a single word about not including them.
