1) The Pilgrim faction trait seems fairly useless as it is. Wasting turns to move your colony is a sure way to lose the industrial race.



It could be made much more intriguing by letting Pilgrims begin the game as a fast traveling (7 speed) colony ship. This way you could quickly pick a decent system from the neighboring ones, and the Pilgrims would have a truly unique bonus that would see use.



2) In compensation, I'd like to see the hero XP bonus on Pilgrims lowered a bit or swapped for an xp gain bonus. Currently the straight IND-DUST rush to turn 2 and 6 heroes with each +25 industry makes for a completely unstoppable destroyer rush.

Terrible Idea



The current ability legendary heroes allows you to have +25 Industry the moment you hire a admin hero which is so much more useful, not only that but the whole concept of pilgrims is that they are good at colonizing so the ability to have better admin heros fit well with that concept where faster movement has little to do with the faction.

1) Topic: Guess it needs a bit of clarity: I'm not talking about faster ships, I'm talking about starting the game without a colony - but instead the Pilgrim colony ship (which houses the 3 pop) orbiting the initial star. This colony ship should have 7 speed, allowing for a quick initial home system swap.



2) Nycidian: +25 IND heroes are not only used for expanding, rather getting them right in the beginning allows for an unstoppable destroyer rush.
