A victory condition where a player is victorious for finding and owning all of the endless temples for a certain time, and when on in a game you might be alerted to where revealed temples are as to prevent a player from secretly owning one!

Eh, I don't think this would work. Seeing as temples are factored in randomly (as far as I know), and I've gone whole games without getting one at all in any system I colonize/capture, this could be problematic. I think temples are just meant to be bonuses for players, not anything truly important.

The time spent hunting down every temple could also be used capturing every home world, or building the Scientific/Wonder Victory techs. If temples did more than passive bonuses, then maybe, I guess. But as it is I think the victory options we have available are diverse enough.

If there is any way this could work, it's only by either:
• Making it a kind of counter victory like diplomacy and economy, where you get points per temple, each turn.
 • Make it an exploration + science + industry mix, first exploring temples, second needing a special research that costs less per found temple and third enables you to build a "call back the Endless"-beacon for lots of industry.
 • Make it a kind of King of the Hill, where there's 8 special temples randomly scattered that have to be yours (and explored) for a certain amount of turns, then you can again drop the system.

 •
Just my brainstorming ideas how to make this work. All temples definitely won't, since you'll hit expansion, economy, military or domination before you'll ever get a hand on all temples.
