Battles end after all missiles/projectiles have been resolved

I'd like to request making battles slightly longer, in that I like using the strategy of building cheap missile ships with no armour, they fire there missiles, then are destroyed. What I'm finding right now is that the combat starts to end once my ships are destroyed, meaning that not all my missiles (most actually) have time to hit, it would be nice if it didn't end until all projectiles were dead, meaning that win/loss isn't worked out until the last weapon hits/misses.

And when it's the other way around, you'll eat their missiles even after you destroyed 'em.

And this is good. I support OP in this.

That's totally fine, I have no issue with that if that's the strategy they want to play. maybe after you die missiles lose accuracy a little, and you can get an upgrade/action which counters this?

Agreed, its nice when you dodge a hit by the battle ending, but it isnt actually correct. I suppose its possible the battle still calculates the hit into the post action report but i couldnt say for sure.

Moved to the right section. Please post suggestions only in the proposals section. Renamed the title.

So it seems to do some stuff in the report, because you can actually see ships being damaged, but by this point it's already decided who has won and lost. In most cases this is fine, but there will be some cases where the opponent gets a win because your missiles haven't hit yet, and are laden in the air.

To some degree, this is definitely already implemented. I've had several battles end with both fleets totally destroyed because of lingering projectiles.
