issue: currently there are issues with the cease fire mechanic where an AI ally will accept a cease fire, stopping the player from invading without anyway to prevent the cease fire.

proposal: have requests for cease fire extended to all members of an invading alliance simultaneously, and any party wishing accept the terms can, and any party wishing to continue hostilities can do so, but have to break diplomatic ties with any ally that wishes to accept the cease fire.

I had an issue like this too. Was allied with the Hisho, being at war with the UE, suddenly cease fire was declared without me accepting any.

I feel that this is an intended consequence of entering into an alliance. What you want is a benefit-only alliance, which is not only unrealistic, it is poorer gameplay. Entering into an alliance is effectively saying that each member represents the alliance as a whole. It shouldn't be a mere trade and scanner range convenience...

I've actually used this to my advantage. I was allied with an immense AI nation who was between me and another AI with whom we were at peace. I noticed that my ally was getting close to an economic victory, so I declared war on the peaceful AI. Since my ally went to war automatically, he lost his trade routes, thereby providing me enough time to win via wonder victory.
