Should fleets use their movement points to attack multiple times during combat?

I support this plan. It would make combat less tedious, and due to engine modules increasing fleet speed, it would reduce the need to split fleets to chase down single-ship fleet spams.

This does make a certain kind of sense good sir. Though what do you do when you are out because you spent them all traveling, i know i've had that come up before... like i just wormholed in and need to kill something.

Seems like you'll just have to wait a turn =) Personally I wouldn't mind wormholes preventing instant attack, it would make them more of an interesting map feature.

I am not too sure, i have too used wormholes to attack fleets in a single turn...Maybe fleets should always get one during a turn to allow this?

The Majority is unsure. We need clarification, details. So a defender has 6 movement points, they can attack 6 times? Of course the defender should always have a slight advantage, but then you're screwed if you're the attacker if you can't adjust your speed towards the invading system. For example if it takes exactly 11 movement points to reach the system to be invaded, you ships travel 6 movement points per turn. With the system currently, you will always have 1 movement point left when you reach you're destination unless you're building ships from a different system. You're screwed as an attacker when the defender with 2 rail gun points and 20 defense will kill you because they can attack you 6 times per turn when you have first arrived.

I don't understand the problem--if the defender can't beat you in a combat, then it doesn't matter how many times they attack your fleet; they'll still lose because each individual combat is still the same as it was. And if you made a mistake, you can hit the Retreat card.

To clarify, we're talking about fleets starting multiple combats per round, not attacking more often within each combat.

They can engage you, but your always going to be firing back each time.

In fairness its only an advantage if your able to win each battle, If not then you just fed your speedy fleet to opponents who used the extra space on more weapons and defenses.

Moved to the proposals section as it is clearly a suggestion.
