I think it would be awesome to add a special tech tree to each race giving them unique bonuses. Like maybe unique ship weapons or planetary upgrade you can get as you tech up.

They do have a couple of special techs atm, they are the orange techs.

Ye full new tech tree wont be good but a bit more of national tech or even random make tech would be nice

for example you chose special tech like bonuses for custom empire
