Make comparison of effects of terraforming and current planet type. Now, when you mouse over the planet improvement icon you only see what you'll get after terraforming. But you don't see what you'll miss!

For example, I have lava planet (-15 appr, +4 ind per 1 pop, +1 dust per 1 pop) and I want to terraform it to barren (-15 appr, +1 ind per 1 pop, +4 dust per 1 pop). So, floating panel above barren icon must look like this:

-15 appr [-] (means 'no change')

+1 ind per 1 pop [-3] (means 'decrease by 3')

+4 dust per 1 pop [+3] (means 'increase by 3')

or something like that.

I like that idea, but there are a few cases in the game that could use something like this...

Just like the Repair Anomaly thingie, what changes does it bring ?! something like ' repair anomaly brings you +1 pop ' or something like that smiley: smile

In case of repairing anomalies effects always (?) positive. Of course, it's good to see how much, but when you terraform you almost definitely loose something.

The same should be applied to changing exploitations... that would be a benefit especially for Late-> End Game

I absolutely agree.

In Diablo 2, for example, you can't compare piece of equipment you are wearing and piece you want to wear, you must mouse over here and there. But Diablo 3 is a modern game. smiley: wink There you can see information about both and can compare them, and the game highlights advantages in green and disadvantages in red.

Thats exactly what i've been thinking of smiley: smile D3 is the perfect example something like that ( well the details aren't shown in D3 , too , but hey it's the thought that counts smiley: biggrin )

Of course you have to calculate the whole lot, all system improvements and all additives , to have an exact positive / negative overview. but then you could save yourself a lot of trouble switching back and forth from one exploitation to another ,

Another thought, civilization does also calculate the food supply, so what we need is a calculus of all FIDS and if the system itself can handle the less food ( starve , thrive) , do I make any sense?
