Hello,

maybe you could add (dangerous) space objects in form of a single star system on the map which influence nearby ships and star systems (e. g. black holes, a black hole absorbing a star or even quasars. The space is full of dangerous and strange objects (e. g. neutron stars like a magnetar, double/triple star systems). Try to add more of them to your great game. Furthermore you could use your fantasy to create your own objects. For humanity wide parts of the space are unknown... who knows what strange objects lie beyond our horizont.

Greetings,

Lucidity

There must be the super-massive black hole in the center of the galaxy, I think. Every galaxy has one, as far as I know.

or even quasars

Quasars are galaxies themselves. So in this particular case I doubt.

I'm not 100% sure about that, nor is any scientist as far as I know. We know far too little about the formation of galaxies to assume that a super-massive black hole core is the norm.

Technically quasars are small portions of the galaxy near it's center, not the entire galaxy, but yes that is correct.

I think spiral galaxy's have them as a matter of stellar biology (Lots of huge stars leading to big black holes, creating a super massive one).

That's why you get the arms, as we all orbit the massive gravity well.

Like Harel55 said, I don't think supermassive black holes in the center of galaxies are a norm or a "must." Just because this is where we've detected some of them doesn't mean it is the same for all galaxies. It's just a theory, as far as I know, as I just about everything else we know about space (extreme oversimplification, probably.) And for that matter, black holes are, technically, in the game. There is a tech along the eastern tech tree, I believe, called "Black Hole Mining." It unlocks the Quadrinix resource. The fluff text says basically that we know how to retrieve things along the edge of the event horizon without the retrieval ship being lost.

As for the others...Don't we have binary (two-star) systems in the game? And I don't see the point, really, for the rest. Even if a system had, for example, a supermassive black hole in it, anything that causes would be limited solely to that system. I don't think any of those anomalies have properties that effect as large amounts of space that exist between one system to the next. We might get some new events like "Neutron/Radiation Pulse from this quasar hit this planet and killed everything on it," but that's about it I imagine.
