Greets, lords and emperors!

I`m your humble UE (United Emperors) servant, Thatguyson.



We`ve assembled here to discuss important matter! The 39 UE session is opened by consensus.

Member-emperors, let`s just cut right to the case: we need "that-assperor-is-gonna-win-the-game" or "someperror-is-gonna-win-the-game" message. Your humble-grumble servant votes definitely for the second one. Here are pros and cons on this one:



Pros:

1) The game will come alive in the later stages.

2) You`ll have your wits saved for other concerns.

3) You`ll not need to look at the stats, diplomacy, planet exploration of your opponent very often to just understand, that he\she is just as hell damn good enough as you or can be quickly conquered by you. Because this information, in the end, can`t get the situation clear. For example, it`s quite hard to define the victor in 8pl game, because, again, every emperor is the most awesome emperor in the world.

4) There will be no more "eeeeeeh?! I thought i will definitely win this one, because i was the first on all parameters!" feeling, which usually appears during peaceful victories.



Cons:

1) Emperors, who can think of themselves as of not the most awesome ones in the space vote against this resolution for they are smart and well-minded. But this argument can be resolved by adding "end of the game is near" message as an additional option, which can be easily canceled.



Let us conduct the roll-call!



P.S. I`ve checked out like 5-6 pages a week ago with such topic for this idea seemed quite reasonable to me.

There is also a possibility of marking\making some development stages of the empire and inform players about other empires passing them in order to help players define their development strategy and level. And, of course, i thought about civilization when thought about this one. It`s just... sometimes the game ends. Well, it ends too unexpectedly. Turn ago, you didn`t think that it`s gonna over smiley: smile Like that.

Maybe something like this:

Player first must research empire improvement let's say "Galaxy Balance of Powers Prediction and Analysis". It gives the player ability pay at any turn some dust (the sum must rather big I think), and his analytics show him detailed diplomatic picture of the galaxy at that turn with predictions about who and at which turn can achieve victory.

Yup, very good idea, can be used as an equal measure. If you think you`re a leader, you can prove it by paying big money smiley: smile But such information can not be too detailed, don`t you think? If at least two players know that there is a guy who will definitely win and even know his name, they will definitely crush him together or separately (which = together), and then there will be another war between them, which will result in a endless Endless war. There are no absolute analytics, i think. And there shoud be still a place for a trickery and diplomacy. That`s why now i think that message is better, but... Again, there also can be some kind of a guy or survey, which\who will help you to acquire some information (like, amount of Dust\Science (because diplomacy window does not show some unique technologies) of a Empire you think can beat you) for, like you have suggested, Dust.
