being able to customize the modifications to our ships is great but what would really take this game further is to allow us to actually customize their look at the same time. I'm sure that would be quite the undertaking but I'm also sure your fans would greatly appreciate it.

This is not a new suggestion. I believe that we will never get "true" customization of our ships, but I believe the devs have been considering making weapons actually show on ships instead of just firing randomly out of the model. I don't know if they've thought a lot yet about going any farther than that.

But it would be a good way to start and might lead to something closer to "true" customization (at least i hope so)

Ship customize could be great using standard modules to develop customize ship shape. But I think most we should think about game rules/strategy and to do game more complex.

I don't know if you'll ever get to change ship shape a whole lot; for one thing, the graphics of the game are beautiful, and if you included custom design modules then you would have to make it so those also look beautiful without weird edges or anything. Plus, it would also cause a lot more lag, especially in multiplayer when you have to receive data about the ship's shape instead of just the ship and its weapons.
