In my opinion this card should be removed. (nano-repairing)

It gives advantage to stronger fleets and ships can be heal very fast in battle. (nonsense!)

Some people go to manual only to do repair ship, fighting with weaker player.

Regeneration of fleets in own empire ONLY is good enough and allow more balance game.

I understand your Problem and it's not realy nice to see better players healing there fleets up while fighting. But I think to remove Engineering form the game isn't the best solution. It would be better to limit the usage or the effect of the card.

Could change it so its HOT (heal over time) so when he card is played it slowly heals over the course of time left from when its played up to the max that the card can heal if played first. Then you can make it so if any other card is played after that the effect (HOT) is canceled.

I understand the argument about engineering being too strong. It is indeed ridiculous compared to other forms of repairing. But as it is, it fits well in the rock-paper-scissor -battle. The other cards are ridiculous as well.

What I'd like to see, is a battle based on tactical choices vie fleet formations and movement and such. Maybe give fleets/ships some amount of energy to allocate to giving boosts to weaponry/shields in a bit similar way as now, but not in such huge numbers (+40% c'mon...).

This would ofc slow the game down a lot, and the current simple rock-paper-scissor -combat is ok for now until the expansion smiley: wink

I would prefer if it was a temporary heal, lasting till battle end.

I think the problem is that out of combat healing is too low, not that ENG is too good.
I think the current rate is fine, but there should be an upgrade like orbital dry dock/repair facility that increase the rate in systems where they are built.

EDIT: started a thread for the idea here.
