What about gaining the ability to create planets in a system. So those system that only have 1-2 planets/gas/astroids in them can become useful later on. By gathering free flooting material in space or harvesting an astroid field,etc. You can make a planet. you can then say you would have the ability to turn a astroid belt into a planet or two. also how about making ring worlds(halo). you would have to strip mine several planets or you would need to use an intire planet itself to make one. for perpose it can act like a planet of different sizes. as for anomalies on the rings, it is constructed by a race so very few can exist.



eg.

1. was make buy a forgoten race long ago. (so it has tech of another race.)

2. Alien plant/animal.

3. Alien Virue/Disease/Infection.

4. temple of some kind.

5. military base.

6. Research center.



I figure since there are several ways to gain the materials to comestruct/Terraform a planet/ring one should be able to do make with a gas giant. maybe take several of them and make a star. therefore creating a new system to put planets in. this also leads to the ability to remove planets in a system and turn the star into a resourse itself. not saying give the ability to move a star but maybe farm it until it dies/gone.

I am against this idea for logical concerns and especially gameplay concerns.

Same here. This sounds like it would create more problems than it would solve - and really, it's not "solving" any problems. Those systems with only two gas giants may seem useless, but maybe they have a strategic location. If not, then it still requires more thought. Being able to create planets would take away strategy from the game, not add to it.
