I would like to see fixed camera positions added to combat. As was pointed out the 1-9 keys are not used for any thing, and the free camera isn't very good. The first 4 keys could show different angles of your fleet, the next 4 could be the same angles only for the enemy fleet. The last key could be for an overview that centers on the middle of the battle space and lets you get an over all view.

This would allow for better enjoyment of large fleet engagements, as the auto camera has a few bad habits, like sifting focus right before ships blow, or right be for a wave of fire hits.

EDIT: I like to add this it's an idea from Fenrakk101: You could even add a label in the bottom-left that names the camera view - for example, "ATTACKING FLEET (YOU)" and "DEFENDING FLEET (SOPHONS)"

I really like the camera hotkey idea and the menus one but I think the camera idea is needed more

Well Camera Positions to toggle between or free Cam would be really really nice, indeed - but i don't care if it is key-bound or to click.

I like this, the fixed camera spots are already there as we can tell from the battles so why not let us choose them manually?
