SOTS scenarios were great for 2 reasons.



They shed light on the thoughts, fears and lore of the universe of sword of the stars, one in particular features a Hiver fleet doing this apparently after the destruction of their core systems at the hand of a supernova, and the scenario plays out like a simulation of the events leading from the nova. (Leading humanity to bait a system killer (Ancient WMB that eats stars) into eating the troubles star, and thus preventing mass genocide of everyone out of desperation).



And secondly, they were truly brutal, well ok some were easy and manageable, but some were out for blood...I mean RAM and required expert level knowledge of the game to overcome (The end of flesh scenario plays out like this).



So I would love a SOTS like scenario system, even if it's just to help set the universe into perspective of the who's, what's, where's and why's, and possibly poke a little fun at the future.
