Would it be possible to implement carrier ships? That is, large motherships whose main weapons are the small fighters it houses.



(I am not sure how to mesh that with the 3-phase thing, but they might start at the end of the 1st phase and be active during the other two, being strongest at close range. It is easy to imagine there to be light fighters with guns and heavy ones with torpedos for variety too.)
