After playing Civ 5 for a while, this game moves like a jackrabbit. One thing I have been very pleased about is late game moves don't take that much longer than early game ones.

The question of the OP on ship designs has been answered. Technical issues are to be reported in the corresponding section. Thread closed.

It's always worth asking. I'm a programmer by trade, and I got blind-sided by sound drivers recently, myself. smiley: stickouttongue

So have you run an install verification and made sure your various drivers are up to date?

It hardly uses 1GB of RAM to run.......Perhaps it's because i have a large fleet and many planets ? Dunno.

I have an old 3.6ghz dual core with 4770 and it runs smooth as silk. I was really surprised at how much better it is than the likes of Civ. Especially when you consider the bonkers number of ships the AI has flying around!

They're not saying you're a liar, they're saying it's not affecting them. I don't have the slowdown issue you mention, either, and my system is several generations older than yours. (Most of my system's components are five years old, and it wasn't quite top end even when I built it.)

Have you verified your install files? Have you verified that all your drivers are up to date? What does memory usage look like when you're playing?

Game is perfect on my computer. 27" iMac running Windows 7 under boot camp. 3.1ghz i5 quad core, 4gb ram, 1gb radeon 6970m.

I'm hoping my brother could get this but his old pc is only single core 3 ghz with a 256gb gpu : /

Could be an incompatibility with the GTX 670 or something i don't know. Perhaps it could also be the high resolution i play games at (2560x1600). Regardless when games like The Whitcher 2 SE play fine it's a bit hard to imagine this one not.

Hi guys how are you all ?

Quick question...I just started playing the game and i only see 6 ship designs (using the Empire), is there a way to design your own ship ? If so how and if not will there be such an option in the future ? Just 6 hull designs are easy to get bored of smiley: frown

While I agree with your suggestions I do not see them as critical to the gameplay. Speed is fine on my two-year old Quadcore, 4 MB and no SSD.. maybe you should tidy up your PC a bit.

Well it doesn't here, not in a huge galaxy map with 70% of it unveiled.

Definitely no probs with a Q9300, 4GB and a GTX460. Game run's smooth and nice.

Guys i like the game, been a while since we had a space RTS but let's face it in its current state the game should be considered beta and not a full game.

1) Only 6 hull designs ? Better not a single one and let us design our own.

2) The battles are almost the same no matter how many times you choose manual.

3) The game is slow and if it's slow with an i7 3930k, 16gb of RAM and an GTX 670 then i can only imagine how slow it becomes on other systems.

4) Limited weapon systems, compared always with Masters Of Orion, a game already counting almost 2 decades old.

Still like i said i like it but it could have been a LOT better....

They're a pretty small independent developer, the game's been out a week, and there have literally been THOUSANDS of suggestions. Give them a little time before the moral outrage, please.
