Thats correct, they have small mandibles. They do not eat that much, according to their feeble nature. For the skull, that's correct too. They are not human, so their skull can have various shapes like we got various faces. Social funtion inside. Additionaly, Sophon's sometime modify their exoskeletton like some human wear piercing and tatoos.

Yeah, thats possible. I understood what you said about the difference in the skull of the Sophons. Overall, the skull of all humans are very similar. What distinguishes one human face from another is skin color, fat face and facial hair color.

EDIT: Wait...since the heads of the Sophons are exoskeletons, why the "cranial structure" of them differs from a Sophon to another? And what about the mouths of the Sophons? How they manage to feed themselves with that things in the place of their mouths?
