Sophons appear to have up to a 50% bonus to Science based on how low the tax rate is (similar to UE's Industry bonus, but at the other end); however this is not mentioned in the faction description.

Edit: Sorry, didn't see the text error thread. Mod merge please?

Sorry, in addition to the basic +45% boost and all the science buff buildings, they have a third advantage on tax rate? Can you confirm if this is different from other races? There is a general link between tax rate and the productions (food, industry, science) so I would like to make sure that Sophons are better, before changing any text.

Here's a composition of two screenshots at 0% tax rate, one of Sophons, one of United Empire.

While we're at it, the United Empire Industry bonus from tax rate only seems to go up to 50%, not 100% as stated in the faction description.

(Note that these bonuses are independent of the Approval bonuses.)

I've lost the combined alamgamation of textual errors thread.

But Non-Baryonic Explosives lacks the "0 Crit Chance" line that all other missiles have.

Edit: screw making another typo thread.

Attitude change event says...

"[...] your systems separated by simple voyage by string drive are in a state of hostile."

My string drives are hostile?

If you hover the mouse over a Protostar (a young star in the galaxy), a pop-up shows its description.

In the description of a Protostar, the word "somewhat" is misspelled as "somehwat".

The technology "Dark Matter Condensing" has the word "compounds" spelled as "compunds." It's the last word in the description.

The description for Thomaem Labefpil describes him as a man, but the picture shown is of a woman.

The description for Oyita Nilfey describes her as a woman, but the picture shown is of a man.

I haven't played as much as I wanted but I noticed in a Pilgrim game that in the tech tree some Pilgrim techs are called Empire Tech and some others just "Technology" even though they are in orange.

Some bugs from the beta.

Sowers:

Research:

- Under "Applied Casimir Effect" the unlocked system improvement "Colonization Program" starts with the weird sentence: "You can now populate stars far away from your starting constellation opens many doors"

- Under "Dark Energy Effects" the actual text and name for the starsystem improvement to further decrease expansion disapproval are missing completely. They are replaced by "[TBD] Overcolonization 4" for the title and "[TBD]" for the description.

Noticed that too. Forgot about it later on when I was on the forums after having poked around with the beta.

Seems like I have another one which hasn't been posted.

Research:

- Under "Improved Fleet Management" the unlocked system improvement "Post-op Analyticals" starts with the sentence: "A first step in maximizing lessons from both success and failure is a detailed post-op review of what happened any why."

Is there anyone else who thinks that the "Adaptative Strategy" battle action should be "Adaptive Strategy"? While the former spelling does appear in online dictionaries, it generally redirects to the latter.

Edit: It's also inconsistent with other text in the game, eg. the "Adaptive Industrial Systems" system improvement.

The fix for the planet anomaly "Polar Tempests" is actually displayed as "Frozen (--)" instead of "Polar Tempests (--)".

OOF! smiley: rollsweat

I think I got them all; I've been playing textual whack-a-mole this week.

The only errors that have been noted in this thread that have *not* been corrected are ones that are linked to gameplay and game design; those are not simple text fixes but things that we need to verify with programming and testing.

Thanks very much to all of you for catching the stuff that slipped through the nets, from me and from the dev team.

In the tool-tip for "Arctic Transformation" it says: "While cold is amply available in the 0[SUP]o[/SUP]K vacuum of space,..."

Kelvins are not degrees, so [SUP]o[/SUP] should be omitted. Also there is that cosmic microwave background radiation, which puts the background temperature of our universe at 2.7 K. But that is subtler point - after all, the game might be taking place in a different universe.

While "Paladin" is a perfectly acceptable name for a ship class, "Small2ResistanceTemplates" could use some work.
