Savegame seems to be corrupted, reloading is pointless because one player (always the same) is not able to end the turn.

Latest autosaves have been overwritten, so there's no chance to rescue the game. Turn was 110 or something....

Really not cool.

I agree not a good thing to happen. Though at least the work that's being done is certainly reducing the frequency of Hesse things. They are always working to improve

The Desyncs in Multiplayer are so bad as they were in the Beta atm.

There was a time period of pretty few desyncs and freezes but since i guess the Auriga Patch the Desyncs are pretty pretty bad again.

The MP Community is manageable and we mostly know each other, and we are pretty mad atm cause 3/4 of all games gets a Desyncs in form of Freezes or unattackable Fleets etc...turn 50, turn 30, turn 22 even got one at turn 0 today.

Thats game breaking.

And i hope that the Devs will attend to this again.

And to say something about reloading:

Most times desync bugs occurs just a few turns after it again.

And people wont rejoin if a game has to be reloaded over and over again.

Me neither. MP is much better than it was, but still we have to save every 5 turns or so because when a desync occurs the autosave is corrupted. So the game runs with work-arounds. Not satisfying, but I think they won't make it any better now. I mean we waited over a year...

I've played several MP games after the release of Harmony. I have not experienced a single de-sync or any other issue thus far.

We had some desynchs during the VIP matches in the development version. All could be fixed by reloading though and most of them were fixed during that phase.

(I'm at least never sure whether one managed to find them all, it's not as if we had a desynch pokedex numbering them all...)

I have yet to have a game desync on me. But even if someone does get disconnected, you can easily rejoin.

damn, is this still happening? I really can't justify buying the expac if MP still has issues. smiley: frown

And sadly it still happens quite often compared to other games...

I have to save a game with my friends every 5 turns because errors and desyncs occur now and then and the savegames tend to be corrupted then. So the game demands quite an effort and workarounds from the players, which is simply not okay. Better than before, but not okay.

Well guys, I was a very vocal member here at one time. Now I am glad to see Amplitude pulled off what many other veteran players said they could never do! They vastly improved multiplayer so that we can enjoy at least most games we play, without any sync issues.

So many games companies do not follow up like amplitude. Look what they did in the mean time. They launched 4 free add ons. What I have seen in the add ons would easily come to over €20/30 in DLC for many other games, yet this INDIE developer continued to support their game with much new free content. This reminds me of the good old days where developers would give free content, support their community so they too can create free content and in the meantime keep patching and fixing any issues.

To me this is what a real games development company is and used to be. Companies like Amplitude should be recognised as the future of games companies, this is what game companies should return to smiley: smile

Ironically, even though I cannot, I would certainly buy a DLC if Amplitude were to release one and I dont buy DLC's smiley: biggrin smiley: approval

I wouldn't say nothing reading back on my comment. I get the trust of Amplitude and enjoy this game immensely smiley: smile

0%, Deyncs

0 % bugs that should be the goal nothing less

u shouldnt also not be forced that another player reload the game, no one should be forced to any workarrounds.

PS: maybe u get not that often that bug as me cause your playstyle is another (as i know you are not so many ships but with "high technology") cause the invisible fleet bug occurs fare more often if you got mass concentration of ships in one orbit (50 CP+) in about one system...then after a few battles against some big enemy fleets you got screwed. (also i think the numbers of fights in one turn does matter)

The invisible Ghost of the Dead Enemys ships doesnt freeze your blood in your veins.

They freeze the turn ending -.-

No, really, it is better than before now. I just had my first game with +100 turns without desyncs! Unbelievable, almost 1 year after I purchased it, I am playing the game now! So yeah, something has been done and that is nice to see. Still, I'm so frustrated with this issue that I probably won't buy or recommend anything from Amplitude... smiley: frown

Sry i cant confirm that

still 25-50% of my games got problems with invisible fleets and a few turns later freezes at turn ending.

it is contra-productiv to tell the dev "its all fine never look again at this topic"

last time we met in MP DMT exactly this was happening.

Invisible Fleets---> Freeze.

there is still much room for improvments.

This happens very rarely for me now, but its actually other battle issues that occur. Then when same host reloads, it will usually occur again.

I find if another player in the match loads the game instead of original host, it will continue flawlessly without being out of sync at any stage.

Also in the rare case I get a bug, its now quite late game...

+1

I haven't been very active on the forums. I preordered endless space, played for about two weeks and then uninstalled. I am pleasantly surprised at amount of work amplitude has put into the game since then - it feels like a completely different game IMO.
