K, sorry it was a bit late but it went quite well smiley: biggrin

Turn 151: We have a MAJOR dust problem... too much for even the sophon affinity to justify imo. Right now a little shifting of Industry conversions will do, but a long term solution is necessary. Also, our population is maxed out across our entire empire. If you know me, what I did next is no surprise: Invasion ships full of troops smiley: biggrin

Turn 152: Finished researching EMP pulse battle card

Turn 153: Troop ships are being churned out like bread from an oven. Also, some trade improvements I qued got completed, bringing in about 100 smiley: dust per turn

Turn 154: Even more troops.

Turn 155: Auriga is now restored. Everyone knows it belongs to the UE, though. We allied ourselves with the Pilgrims in exchange for 1,000 dust per turn and Low Temp Hydration. Since the Aomeba are weak and we don't even have trade routes to them, this is a pretty good deal.

Turn 156: Adoptive society finished researching. Queuing it up.

Turn 157: Yawn

Turn 158: Trade routes and stuff

Turn 159: Non baryonic shielding completed. Now we can have more Population.

Turn 160: The pilgrims cancelled the deal, so I traded some dust water for the dust. the trade glitch keeps cancelling that deal, so whoever takes over needs to maintain it. Oh, and the UE declared war. Now everyone in the galaxy is at war. Yawn.

Turn 161: Our fleets dominate, and I design and plan a new fleet around a dreadnought class

Turn 162: Crushing UE. Moved troop fleet into the Polaris Workshop system and took over. Mwhahahaha

Turn 163: Ceasefire with amoeba. Meh.

Turn 164: Eliminated Large UE fleet. Sent Hero fleet into UE home system and crushed their main hero fleet. With Ease (ok, they managed 500HP damage :P)

Turn 165: Troop fleet refreshed. Guess where I sent them? Yep. The UEs hero fleet was the only thing protecting their system, making an invasion possible. Our bombs fell like rain over their cities. Our fleets crushed all opposition. Our empire is expanding.

I quite like the way that round ended smiley: biggrin their homes system falling on the very last turn and all. Oh, and we finished a few of those +20% science improvements. We now have 3300 smiley: science per turn, instead of the 2,000 we started with. (thanx to all those wonderful sophon techs) And thanks to the pilgrims we are gaining about 300 smiley: dust per turn.

Hey there, I just wanted to pop in for a second and apologize for taking my leave without leaving a message about it smiley: frown I know that it's a bad thing to do and the fact that I had a very busy week is no excuse but still, sorry.

Since I'm still too busy to play, I'll just cheer you all on :3

Well, I'm thinking of starting a new one as this one seems to have died a little.

I'll make a post and gauge the interest.

As for this one, I'll remove exnihil from the list and play the turn later today.

I think my power supply is fried. It started making fizzy sounds, now doesn't have enough juice to start the pc up. Will have to get it fixed before I play again.

Might be a good time to add that extra 7850 in crossfire, hmm... smiley: smile

Tldr: will post it up asap.

Alrighty, my new corsair 600w arrived and I installed it successfully, so I'm ready to rock. (Soon my extra 7850 will arrive and I'll experiment with Crossfire a bit, ahead of Star Citizen's DFM. smiley: wink )

Which means... I'll post the next EXCITING EPISODE of our sophon drama tonight when I get back home.

Here's to 5000 views!

Turn 166:

Destroyed some UE resistance in the southern part of the galaxy and invaded two more systems.

Sort planets by industry: Hmm, the top three will now produce ships; the rest will over time produce only Dust. This will provide a constant output of warships. I reassigned the Endless hero to Rainbows to increase production there.

I rationalised our fleet - reducing it to a single transport choice, a carrier, the Tank and DPS ships of before; and a speedy colony ship.

Hmm - MainLabs seems to have been conscripted almost entirely onto transport ships! Procreation edict issued.

Scratch that - now the top FOUR planets are shipyards. Tax goes down to 10%.

Increased ship speed research started: Mass Particle Displacement.

Turn 167:

Ok - a trade deal with Pilgrims ended... and we now earn -750 per turn. I call the Amoeba, our old pals - and they hang up on me. Apparently we're in a cold war with each other. What the hell happened here?

Embarrased, I approach the Pilgrims. I offer them our last tech of interest to them for a modest 250 per turn - as their income is +2234 I imagine they'll be able to afford it without going broke any time soon. I'll use the breathing space it gives us to see how our Dust income evens out. They throw in a Hexaferrum, giving us a monopoly (and a large production bonus as a result).

Tax goes up to 20%. -254 per turn. Should be ok.

Turn 169:

Down to -59...

Many UE reinforcements arrive around Wordan.

Turn 170:

+23 Dust.

A 10500 fleet and a 15000 fleet are on their way in to attack us; our greatest hero's fleet is 6167. I sure hope these Smileys can take what's coming for them. They drive off some other fleets.

T41 goes from Dust production to ship production.

Turn 171:

The fights go well - the 10k enemy fleet side-stepped our hero and flanked us at Giazar. We have 2 x 3k fleets there. Let's see what happens.

Turn 172:

We had a draw at Giazar - our first fleet of two held its ground but the losses were shared equally.

Turn 173:

Our defensive formation + nosebreaker finished off the UE hero's last 2 cruisers. We conquer Giazar!

Tax goes to 25% while we absorb this new system into our economy.

Turn 175:

I reduce the number of shipyard planets back to 1; and let the others produce Dust. A sneakly Pilgrim ship is (slowly) invading Leo, a UE system in the South East!

Turn 176:

We research Lepton Manipulation, for better shields and beam weapons. Aiming for self-organising cities next.

turn 177:

The Pilgrims, acting like complete brats, have blockaded two systems from us - ones we happened to clear of defenses ourselves.

Turn 178:

I asked the Pilgrim ambassador if he'd be giving me a system for my birthday? Meridianne had laid out a well-calculated feast and everything. Do you know what he said?

'No'.

Of course, as we all know - that means war. I end our alliance. Meridianne blushed slightly.

Turn 179:

All's quiet - apart from war gearing up on all sides. Still, we need to win this game; and the time is right to bring the Pilgrims down a notch or two. Good thing we now have 18 fleets. Let's put them to work.

Not sure how we let this thread die, but the journey continues on!

Turn 180: Accepted UE cease fire, gaining 4 systems from the deal. However, several of our fleets were left behind around systems the UE still owned.

Turn 181: From our new systems, we gained 4 new luxury resource monopolies.

Turn 182: Large battle with a UE fleet with one of our left behind fleets. Via this battle, we now realize that they are using T3 weapons. Despite their massive weapon advantage, our fleet cleaned them up easily.

Turn 183: Completed Quantum Processing. Starting work on T3 weapons.

Turn 184-Turn 188: Finishing T3 weapon research.

Turn 189: Dreadnought on Dreadnought combat with the UE after we sign an alliance with the pilgrims. The galaxy is cast into war once more.

Turn 190: The Battle of Auriga. Our fleets face off with none other than Opbot Dv8 as we battle over the skies of Auriga. After our victory, we claim auriga with troop invasion ships and accept a UE cease fire for two more systems.

Turn 191: now that Auriga is in our grasp, we now lay in a path towards scientific victory.

Turn 192-194: Closer to gaining science victory research bonuses.

Turn 195: 4979 smiley: dust, with +50 smiley: dust per turn, with a 10% tax rate. +15843 smiley: science: per turn.
