Allright; thanks for coming through on it! Sorry we're losing you - maybe by the time your next rotation comes your school work will have lightened up a little

Don't forget to attach the save file smiley: wink

Alright man, thanks for the heads up, I'll re-upload

Neither of those files are usable...

The former has no extension and is not recognised as a .bin, .rar or .zip when one is added.

The latter is from turn 59. :/

Drop me a line if you're unable to upload the correct one and I'll play your turn.

Thank goodness. If that hadn't worked I would've ripped out my hair and dropped my IT class. Again thank you so much for your patience. I really want to see how this game will end lol

Stardate: turn 136. The first thing I do is have a look at the fleet manifest. There are several obsolete designs; and some duplication. I strip down as much as possible, except where redesign is practical, depending on overall fleet composition.

I merge multiple invasion fleets into two large ones; and then reassign all ships to Rainbows. The UE is otherwise engaged: picking off the Amoeba.

I reassign the Endless guy to Screwdrive, where he should form a new financial colony and increase profits. This was a small part of a rebalancing I did. I want to refit our fleets at Rainbows when we recapture it. I knew the day would come - it's been the UE's for long enough.

I strike deals with Pilgrims and Amoeba - co-operation plans, and they give good passive-bonus techs in exchange.

I release a system-wide incentive to pursue dust-generating techs above all else.

I scrap ships to the tune of 2000 dust, in an attempt to begin uniformication.

137. A UE scout appears at Rainbows and I see that the BloodRainbow / Smiley combination still works, reaffirming my decision to reunify the fleets. Two turns to recap Rainbows: I hope the UE armada stays occupied with the Amoeba long enough.

138. Another scout; my plans tick over.

139. Finally! Rainbows is ours once more! I retrofit Beta, Eta and Delta fleets using the savings I accrued, then send them into UE territory.

I will reduce the terrible 30% tax rate after Mainlab churns out the next fleet.

140. I kick back with a copy of 'Faxizic's reprehensible 11th reality'.

Oh, and apparently our fleets are bombarding Echius. It's not the most impressive system, comprised of two asteroid belts and a single planet; but it's the other end of the wormhole that the UE has been besieging us from. I want to lock it down.

141. The UE want to make us rich via a cease-fire. I say no - let them divide their forces between us and the Amoeba.

142. Finance comissions are now in place across the system. I reduce tax to 25% which results in fervent celebration!

143. I switch Screwdriver, Eden and Lonely to the generation of Research grants. I hear weapons tech is lucractive nowadays.

144. We're in the enviable position of having all our planets (except Rainbows, which is developing) pumping their entire industrial outputs into enterprise and research! The Amoeba are greener than ever with envy.

145. I secure some upgrades for our weapon systems from the Pilgrims; as well as some minor techs from the Amoeba.

146. The UE sending reinforcements; we annihilate them.

147. More UE fleets sent; including some admirals. These must be scouts coming from the Amoeba conflict.

148. Concerned about UE fleet buildup, I reduce research output, revive the MainLab ship production plants, and ask Eden to produce wealth.

149. Today I asked Meridianne to be my Main Assistant. Her large eyes nearly fluttered with excitement! The joy! My family is pleased with the union; and wish us both the best of luck for our futures.

150. We take Echius; and I rename it Meridianne after my sweetheart. I also agree to a cease fire with the UE. Why, you ask? They offered us 1000 Dust, plus another 700 per turn. Their culture earns 1500 per turn, so theymay even afford it. But that's not all. They also offer us the Triime system; a wonderful system of four healthy planets, rich with natural resources. This, I name T41, in honour of a fellow Lab Administrator who recently passed into the great neural net in the sky.

With this Dust and some breathing space, we can assemble the fleet we'll need to consolidate the rest of the known universe into a properly-functioning network of research-producing planets.

I do a last little bit of trading, securing a Hexaferrum monopoly and some techs.

Tax goes down to 15%, and the population remains fervent.

151. Not a bad bit of work, if I say so myself. Come Meridianne; we must compute...

PANCZASU, you're up...

Edit: Congrats on over 2k thread views, everybody. ^^ And just wait for the next succession game - I have something extremely cool in mind for the next one!

Why is it that every time it's my turn, I never get to do any fighting? <_<

I didn't know aliens existed during my first term, on the second one I had to sign a peace treaty to save our empire and now someone *cough* signed another peace traty so that I cannot kill anybody smiley: stickouttongue

Now I'm DEFINITELY going to make suboptimal decisions smiley: twisted

But not today, I need to sleep. I'll play tomorrow

Awwww how nice of you, naming a system after me smiley: redface. And Pan, Suboptimal decision making always happens in an empire's history, just don't go too overboard smiley: stickouttongue

My agents inform me that the UE treasury has hit an all-time low; and they're selling assets to try make a quick buck. If they can't hold up to the terms of the treaty, well...

Hey, sorry but I wasn't able to play this game today; RL got in the way. I was busy the entire day and I will be for most of tomorrow as well. Stealth Hawk, you can play your term right now if you want/are here because I won't be able to until at least tomorrow evening.

Tomorrow evening, or the day after, is ok, I think? Unless anyone disagrees?

I'd rather take a relaxed pace than swap the roster around all the time, haha. I'm lazy that way.

Until further notice I need to be removed from the rotation. My copy of ES is consistently choking on a null-refference exception on every launch, so atm I can't even play ES. If I fix it, Ill ask to be let on. thx smiley: smile
