I dunno. The "according to him" part just didn't sound right to me.

It's cool. Just something cheeky I threw in, though you're probably right that the statement still stands. What other Emperor started a Thousand Year's War for control of the galaxy and lived through at least three centuries of it?

Lets get this party started.

Operation Snowfall: A plan devised by Zelevas himself and discovered too late by Black Star spies, Zelevas uses the bioweapons at his disposal to launch a coordinated assault on a densely populated system, Gerbrand. Two large terran planets have their population wiped out in an instant, the fleet in orbit decimated when the Admiral in charge ordered his crew to give aid to the people, unaware of the semi-robotic nature of the plague. All ships escaping the sudden virus are shot down by the accompanying Empire fleet, no quarter given. In the aftermath, the Empire controls what was once an idyllic border world, without so much as a scream escaping to oblivious Republic neighbours. Though the Black Star operatives are too late, they return armed with knowledge on the nature of the nano-diseases and other bioweapons, and Sophon scientists begin immediately to research vaccines, antidotes, and repellants. The Sophons, while at war with the Empire, were non the less practical and so had contributed few ships to the war effort. After Operation Snowfall came to light, millions of Sophons pledged their support to end the Emperor's tyranny and reclaim humanity for the Republic (mostly out of fear of such bioweapons being turned on themselves). A second bioweapon attack on another densely populated system, Garusi, is foiled when recently deployed orbital sensors on high alert catch the cruiser carrying the weapons before it can reach launch point. The ship is disabled and samples of several nanoviruses taken for experimentation. Rough timeframe: 3761 (before the building of the Carter, WITH Sophon support smiley: wink.)

Plans for an interstellar death dealer, akin to species such as The Flood from Halo or The Zerg from Starcraft are in the works. Don't worry, their are several differences being worked in to their methodology. In the meantime, which name do you guys like better: The Enraptured, or The Blight?

Edit: And yes I know about Cravers, but they are largely concerned with their own affairs and beyond the odd raid do not trouble others much. Needless to say nobody tries to provoke them. I was thinking more along the lines of an endlessly consuming semi-virtual race. Preventing it from ever coming into contact with the Cravers could be a big plot point.

hmm how about this (basic summary, will expand if idea is accepted):

3760- A Horatio-UUR cooperation agreement is signed. Still angry at the military actions taken against them centuries ago, the Horatio after long deliberation and in light of the Ameoba counter attack have decided to temporarily help supply and fund UUR forces to further test the UE's limits. At this time, besides some civilian forces to aid in the building of, military bases, stations, and ships the Horatio have begun strengthening border systems in preparation for UE retaliation.

Java, unless your summary is of your own idea and not his XD. If so, both smiley: biggrin

Furthermore, we should start designing a UUR cruiser, and when we finish/are near completion, I will create it.

Additionally, I will use whatever spare time I have after the cruiser creation to try and learn some Photoshop and create a UUR portrait (maybe add it into a mod for the race? :O ) Unless someone who is reading this wants to contribute by making it for us ?smiley: biggrin I have some inspiration..? If anyone does smiley: stickouttongue
