Doesn't bother me, but it's just very unusual

, and weird. Especially considering since the game is/was based upon Battlefleet Gothic, the 3 weapons being lances (lasers) torpedoes (missiles) and cannons? (kinetics) So this 4th one, and the UE having it, not even Sophons

Uhh most scifi 4X games use the trio of: Energy, Missile/Torpedo, Kinetic to define their weapons.

Lasers are so basic that we even have industrial uses for them today.

The Sophons are much farther up the tech tree, using plasma based energy weapons to melt the enemy

MOO2 I noticed was more laser missle fighters, Distant Worlds? I can't comment haha. Sins of a solar empire is almost just all lasers haha

Sins is more about ship number then type, and is more like an RTS game (But I do love it).

Anyway, back on topic if you have anything to add to the Emperor's backstory that would be fine. I only realized later that the Hissho contact wars were ending around the same time, so making a war story to explain his xenophobic tendencies might be in order. An Amoeba allied fleet that never arrived, a battle that was a near victory for Maximilian leaving most of his fleet decimated? Maybe the Artifact wasn't recovered from pirates, but discovered in a Hissho Emperor's tomb?

I'd like to write it but I don't have the time, so I'm going to petition someone from the community to do it. Who IS Maximilian Zelevas? Post it here and i'll make Wiki changes.

I kind of feel like we're doing Amplitudes job xD haha, we're creating stories for first encounters with races, at least mainly you are Igncom1

Edit: I'd be willing to create some more info for Maximilian, unless you were wanting someone to restart the whole page O_O. but you probably weren't so yea ;P.

I might do The Vanguard fails, Amoeba guerrilla war and Rebellion first victory (because thinking of a battle will be easy and the guerrilla will be fun

). I can't do much on stuff like Shadow war and the Amoeba plot for UE-Hissho war because those were your ideas Igncom1

you have these ideas and I neither know what they are XP nor do I want to ruin them

Well can you at least explain some stuff? I don't understand this "Shadow war", and is UE academy raids the sophon science labs? or did someone raid UE naval academies?

Edit: Blah, after reading it, I feel I created a rude atmosphere, sorry if I came across that way :P

Edit 2: jjwang, are the Endless Rep a reflection on modern religion? or am I just going too deep and its just you adding a religious race to the idea XD

I wouldn't recommend that haha, I've read quite a lot on characters via star wars wikia, but theres still a lot of events and lore I'm behind. but some I'm not willing to spoil because their books are in the library and I've already spoiled some of their plots

Edit: Igncom, so shadow war = The fourth wave of UE colonisation ends when a Sophon border skirmish grows out of control, a cold war ensues as both sides lead raids to reduce the political power over the new UE border worlds?

And the hissho humanitarian (those un-xenoistic aliens

) is after operations on the timeline, but the academies are after the operations on pages pending heh :]

Well I mean my forum post edits, because I edit it afterwards, so they see my first post, and only if they refresh do they actually see the edit, and some stuff is a bit more serious than the original post at times
