Man, I wish we had a dedicated artist on our forum. We especially need a race portrait for UUR. Maybe a few colored drawings of battles (I ran out smiley: frown ) I guess we have to do with little to no pictures (now at least smiley: ohh)

heh smiley: smile Their push does make sense, but they would have to join the UUR as soon as it happens though... And we should put this a bit later XD I have an idea that will be taking place nearing 3800, and the Horatio aren't allies yet. I don't want either to contradict... but then, they'll be allies anyway. Blargh, I guess their attack will be part of my story then! haha, nvm what I said (just don't do their push against the UE yet smiley: biggrin)

"gold"? :P what. and Horatio engineers and ships... I thought they were beauty over quality? XD Not sure if that's the best idea haha. Horatio raiding pirates? if it's near the UUR, it'll probably be more a UE problem, considering their proximity and the Horatio's distance smiley: stickouttongue (at least through Igncom1's map) Make sure you change it to UUR, not UUE smiley: stickouttongue But what top of the line technology are we talking about? The UE is one of the most advanced with their MAC gun. The Amoeba's comes with their giant ship, and Sophons haven't had any love yet smiley: stickouttongue

I'm thinking the Horatio would be fantastic genetecists, and that they would be more useful for agriculture and medical technology than anything else. Or at least that's what it seems to me, the Horatio's ship designs are often more for aesthetic appeal than realistic combat.

I agree with that, they're expansionist but via numbers.

Operation Snowfall page is up and running, I'm looking to see if anyone can add a picture or two to spice it up. Nothing too fancy, but maybe just an Empire cruiser or something.

I think maybe we should start putting a couple events into other centuries. We've got plenty of major events for 3500-3799

While the lead up of events is easy, the time line of 3800 onwards is much harder to do.

I could throw some ideas around if you like, but for now I am going to continue building girth to the first 3 century's if I may.

could move my most recent suggestion horatio sending men to aid at beginning of 3800, to help with construction on the carter? however we need more definitive involvements from other races by 3850 imo

Currently the only major involvement of any non-human race is by the amoeba, who didn't want to become extinct.

The Sophons have lead a few battles, but have mainly been a strong backing partner of technology, defense and intelligence services.

The Pilgrims committed on 1 major offensive, but otherwise haven't been seen by anybody else because of their nomadic nature.

and the Horatio have only truly committed intelligence services to the war, but if they are going to get involved, it won't be apart of the universal republic.

The sowers and automations are too far away, and couldn't give a care to the situation.

The Cravers and Hissho are neutral to the war, and will require proper incentive to the conflict, on either side.

How about a Return of the Pilgrims plot? After several decades with few sightings of the Pilgrims anywhere in colonized space, the Pilgrims return from the void with either:

a) some kind of leviathan type space beast, a creature that can traverse wormholes and still survive, even in the vacuum of space, that the Pilgrims use as ships.

b)carried by the Homeship, a massive Endless artifact that is the size of a large moon that is now the capital of the Pilgrim people.

c)now calling themselves the Enlightened, they have stumbled upon a cache of Endless tech and now wield ships and mysterious artifacts that are ages above the other races

or d)other

I've seen A done before, but I was trying to think of more and all I got was C. So fire away if anyone has any ideas.

A) impossible.

B) and C) that will have to happen VERY late because Endless Tech will be impossible to beat

I think B would be the best one, as the Endless "planet" would be devoid of weapons beyond defenses, so it would just mean that the Pilgrims have a movable home planet, that can house fleets and be almost impossible to destroy or retake so long as the Pilgrims aren't reckless with it. Not that the UE aren't going to try...
