I think B would be the best one, as the Endless "planet" would be devoid of weapons beyond defenses, so it would just mean that the Pilgrims have a movable home planet, that can house fleets and be almost impossible to destroy or retake so long as the Pilgrims aren't reckless with it. Not that the UE aren't going to try...

Which endless is it though? the virtual or organic? And I think that would be a big overpowered. If they can replicate that, thats going to be very powerful. And isn't that a copy from a movie/series? I remember "planets with engines" from somewhere.

Both endless groups had ridiculously powerful technology, the only difference was their goals and how they wanted to achieve them.

If i was to create how the pilgrims would return to known space I would have the migrant fleet (The civilian fleet) move behind the pilgrim military to colonize the necessary worlds for the purposes of logistical support.

Later on if things go badly, the pilgrims unlike everyone else can simply leave, just like in the game.

After all, this is 1000 years of history we are attempting to write.

I think a mobile endless planet may be a bit overpowered.....but the "virtual endless"....what if something of them were left behind on an abandoned city? Like some sort of AI? That could be interesting

I'm just making assumptions in thinking that there are plenty of Endless artifacts scattered through the galaxy, but noone has managed to recreate them as yet, the most they can do is restore and make use of them. I don't see why the same shouldn't apply to the Homeship. Also I said it was the size of a moon to keep things balanced, so no superpower by any great extent, just a way for the Pilgrims to stay mobile and still have a home. I vote concrete, it seems more physical.

And yes, because sci-fi has been done pretty much to death I'm sure you could find similar constructs in other series smiley: stickouttongue. I didn't deliberately copy anything though, but that's probably where my subconscious got the inspiration.

Unicron from Transformers, Requiem from Halo 4, High Charity from Halo's 2/3, Death Star from Star Wars, and I'm sure there are more that I will think of the second after I post this smiley: stickouttongue. It`s not the idea that counts, its the implementation, and I`m thinking it would be a perfect fit for the Pilgrims`s society as a whole.

Eh... Dunno. A flying base the size of the moon without weapons? Seems improbable. Unicron doesn't really count.. he's a transformer :P. Halo series is just a copy period. Death Star is a giant weapons platform :P. Back to the point... (copy pasting) A flying base the size of the moon without weapons? Seems improbable.
