Alright, clean up time.

The point is that he was the head technician (read: engineer), and so had access to every part of the ship without requiring authorization. And being the guy who built everything, he would know more than anyone where the ships weak points were. The backstory for his wife got a little jumbled, so I don't know, I was just coming up with a reason for him to go crazy. Still, the explosives ending I'm still not sure about myself. I didn't like running due to an error, but maybe he guns down everyone in the command room, locks the doors and takes the controls. We could go anywhere with that.

Check the wiki for the Sophon Schism incident, I posted it on here a few weeks back. It was where the Sophons temporarily pulled out of the alliance to deal with their own rebellion and caused all kinds of havoc for the Amoeba and UUR. It's due to this that the UUR is trying to make itself a little more independent of the Sophons, so the same thing does not happen again.

But he's carrying a giant pile of explosives, and why wouldn't they have like... sensors? For explosives and firearms to get on the ship. It's a peace ship, why would they want weapons on it?

Ah yea yea, that schism

Conceding here, yeah forgot the explosives. So that leaves us with either he manages to take direct control of the ship himself, or this is part of an organized attack and several crew members are in on it.

Probably two in my opinion, I was thinking that as soon as I read the first sentence (the one I'm responding to). Maybe terrorists or UE infiltrators

Oh damn, I just realized, I was going to make two pages on the site without even posting it on the idea board or on this thing... Even though that's basically what I've been doing the entire time XD

(btw, I was writing this message mainly because I hoped I would level up from it :P)

Who are these "Brian Lapen" and "Adrian Smith" characters? It's cool to finally see some names on here, but I'd like to know how they're related.

They were the UUR commanders? Lapen is the name behind Lapen Crusade, and Adrian smith was for first madrigal page, and I used him for Defense of Bormai, not sure who made him

Guessing Igncom1 quit this? And anyway, but the community vote, the Sheradyn will become a secret agent organisation instead of a super body guard or superior military force as we had created

Same here. Secret agents in giant heavy gold armor? Doesn't seem too possible haha. I guess we'll have to see what happens, hope they made the right choice smiley: stickouttongue (economic just doesn't make sense)

Well they could be more of a mercenary syndicate if they go for the economic affinity.

Oh wait its affinity? LOL well then XD. But still, military seems the most... correct. But secret agent IS the only one not currently done in anyway

How come I'm the last one to hear about votes like these...

Well, I don't know about a secret society, but they did feel tacked on because of their UE ties. I always wanted them to get some sort of traits for themselves, but who knows, maybe this will turn out okay.

Edit: Oh its still on? Nevermind. Voting Military baby, those helmets just scream for combat.

I heard of it today, mainly from their facebook page so I don't know :P

(That said, even the Sheredyn will allow for the quiet disposal of a truly horrible emperor.) Zelevas was the CEO of a wide-ranging conglomerate, XenoMine Corp., and widely acknowledged as a genius as well as an inspirational leader. It helped, of course, that the reigning Emperor Willema Szinda had gone from honest and energetic to senile and unbalanced. Still, this shift in Sheredyn loyalties was unthinkable to many.

With their increased freedom, the Sheredyn are now taking over corporations, developing independent colonies, and creating their own interstellar logistics networks. Whether this is to further the aims of the United Empire, or to provide a future counter-weight if another emperor proves to be as unstable as Szinda, only time will tell.

Just some more info on the Zurkov situation

Szinda? Cool, what time period are we talking about here, before or after Maximilian's deposition? Or is this a different version of his origin story?

If the Sheredyn go military, we won't have to change anything. But if they go with economics, we may have to do a retcon.
