Its awesome dude, really.

The picture really completes it, and its is one of the few actual battles between the two forces on here, you are your luck your first!

Depends, if its part of the Endless Space universe, we're currently working more on UUR and UE, but give us your ideas on here and we'll consider timing of their contact with the war

But if its your own faction? I'm guessing you can use them as a minor faction, so no HUGE empire. Maybe a system or two, or a couple, of a newly space faring empire? I'm not quite sure, we have to wait for the leaders input. I'd love to put in my own race XD (I already wrote it's story as a custom race in game

Gah I really should keep thinking before I post, anyway: system names? Whatever we definitely need more right now. You can probably make a lone system who rebelled from UE under their own system. Similarly to Zend (KIND OF, no offence OP) only in the way that it has cultists (I guess)

Err, whos using the Horatio cloning? A rebellious Horatio pirate group clashing with sophons or whom? The clash seems like a good idea, distract the sophons from supporting the UUR and its defense against the UE.

eh was thinking the UE, use a decoy emperor to trap a UUR fleet. In the resulting battle, the Admiral and his ship would be quietly captured. The UE would pay a hefty price for a clone of the admiral, who would follow the UEs orders and lead a fleet of UE ships disguised as UUR ships captured over several earlier battles to hit Sophon systems. With a UUR Admiral leading a 'UUR' fleet,relations deteriorate between Sophons and the UUR leading to small clashes along borders.

That is actually pretty good! But it would have to happen a bit later I think, otherwise the human UUR would fall really quickly to Sophons on one side and UE on the other. The problem right now is that in Regicide Attempt (another idea) they tried to capture/kill the emperor aboard his flag ship with a single corvette. So them sending another fleet would be weird, but if you made it so that the Emperor wanted to "negotiate face to face" I think that would give reason to try to capture, and as soon as the fleet warps in, the UE one does the same. More ideas! By that I mean, keep adding, this is a too short version =)))

Could be that the Emperor was on a 'parade' garnering support from some of the front worlds. Allowing a small fleet of ships to enter on both sides, of the battle. For example... The Emperor(decoy) travels through a lightly defended system, to bypass heavier resistance zones. The UE lets it slip, the UUR jumps in, destroys the guard fleet that would protect the Emperor as he came in. When the Emperor arrives, the fleet would engage, and board the Emperor's flagship. At that point, another UE fleet jumps in, flanking the UUR and capturing the Admiral and several ships.

It wouldn't be serious engagements between the Sophons/UUR. as the UUR desperately try to talk it over. It agrees to pay heavy reparation fines for the killing of Sophon civilians, and promises to hunt down the clone admiral. However some Sophon factions are dissatisfied and begin raiding civilian UUR ships/trading outposts.

Uh, OP, you forgot to add in the creation/backstory of the cult of Zend (I was reading the wiki and got confused at their sudden appearance) Just letting you know (won't add it in, from fear of being banned from this whole thing.)
